My aspirations are to help you reach your breastfeeding goals through private personalized care in your home.
I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). My passion is preventative health specifically in the field of Maternal, Infant, and Child health. I graduated with a Masters in Public Health (MPH) from San Jose State University and completed the UC San Diego Lactation Consultant program where I performed over 300 clinical hours working with more than 250 moms and babies in a variety of settings (in home private practice, Richmond Women, Infant, and Children’s program (WIC), and Contra Costa Regional Medical Center).
I have been working with breastfeeding mothers and their families for 10 years and in addition to my private practice I am a Lactation Consultant at a local pediatrician's office. I previously worked at the Baby-Friendly Highland Hospital in Oakland. I would love the opportunity to work with you to support your breastfeeding goals. For the past three years I have also sat on the board of the Bay Area Lactation Association.
What does your ideal breastfeeding relationship look like? It could be two weeks, six months or the WHO (World Health Organization) recommendation of two years and beyond.
I am up for a challenge and will walk that path with you as you wish. I understand that sometimes there are breastfeeding/lactation challenges that seem insurmountable. Breastfeeding and making milk doesn’t happen easily for everyone! I am nonjudgmental and will listen even if you are feeling completely lost and exhausted. I support the breastfeeding woman as the authority on her baby and her baby’s health and best interests. A list of services I provide can be found here.
