Changing policies, systems, and environments, to support the 80% of women in the United States who start out breastfeeding reach their breastfeeding goals, is her personal mission and the reason why she founded Lactation & Lit..

Jasmine has worked in the field of lactation for over a decade. She has brought her passion to Washington DC and Sacramento to advocate for policies that effect maternal and infant health in this country and in California. In 2020 Jasmine wrote and published her first children’s book, Breastfeeding All Around The Bay. This book, and the many more she plans on publishing, aim to normalize breastfeeding, include non-traditional families, and highlight Black and brown characters - adding much needed diversity to children’s literature.
